Piece of junk November 3, 2009 Susan Wn Ruach This Omron pedometer is a piece of junk. It simply doesn't count 1/3 or so of my steps. I suggest no one buy it.
Omron Hj-151 pedometer--Healthy and handy November 2, 2009 Chuck Carpenter (Tacoma WA USA) Omron makes the best pedometer I've tried over many years. The HJ-151 is even a step better in that it keeps track of steps and steps at a 3.5 mph or above pace in addition to a 7 day log. All of which add to the incentive to get out and walk or jog, and that makes the wine at the end of the day even better.

The best pedometer! October 28, 2009 E. Revell (Seattle, WA USA) I have had many types of pedometers - and this is the best. What I like most about it as compared with others:
- does not make a clicking sound when I walk
- no cover to open to see how I'm doing (also handy because it has a clock so I sometimes use it to check the time)
- easy to operate and easy to read
- resets back to zero steps at midnight so in the morning I just grab and go
- good looking design and unobtrusive in black
A group of my friends all have this pedometer and we support each other in getting our steps in by reporting how we are doing and inviting each other on walks.
Needs leash, otherwise very good product October 12, 2009 C. Ebeling (PA USA) Yes, you do need the little leash that must be purchased separately (A shout-out to Omron: sell them packaged together). I lost my first pedometer in the supermarket after two days. Yes, I had the leash, but no, I was not using it. The plastic clip seemed to be working well. I quickly learned that bending over, leaning into a grocery cart, and slinging grocery totes around are all moves that can loosen or dislodge it. The only other issue is, you must either learn to read it upside down, turn it cock-eyed or remove it to read it.
Those are little issues. The bigger picture is, this is comfortable to wear, reliable, very easy to read, serves as a watch, and has an accessible manual that makes programming straightforward. There is a psychological boost to using a good pedometer. The Omron's various functions provide a boost to get in those extra steps and aim for 10,000 a day.
Great Omron product! October 2, 2009 Kathy Taylor (Grapevine, TX USA) This is a simple pedometer and exactly what I wanted. Works like a charm.
